Once more a Lace Market Theatre play has appeared in Alan Geary's top 10 productions in Nottingham for 2009 as listed in the Evening Post. The play was "Festen" which ran in November. Congratulations to director, Roger Newman, and the cast and crew of what proved to be a stunning theatrical event for audiences.

At the NANDA 2009 award ceremony held on June 19th the Lace Market Theatre carried off the trophy for best director - Sarah Kerry for "Much Ado About Nothing " - and the trophy for best Front of House. 'Much Ado' also gained nominations for best set and best costumes.
At the Youth Theatre Competition "Much Ado" came runner-up, "The Chrysalids", directed by Roger Watson, received the adjudicators discretionary award and Michael Radforc received the award for best actor for the second year running, In addition 14 members of the Youth Theatre received special commendation awards,
Congratulations to all concerned.

Once again the Lace Market Theatre has been named in the Evening Post's EG's top ten shows in Nottingham for 2008. This year TWO of our shows have been selected - "Improbable Fiction" by Alan Ayckbourn which played in October and "Christmas Carol" which was our Christmas show this season and, incidentally, a sell out. Many congratulations to directors, casts and crews of the two shows concerned. This is the 4th year at least one of our productions has featured in this list

The Lace Market Youth Theatre swept the boards on Saturday night at the NANDA Youth Festival with A Midsummer Night's Dream and Ruckus in the Garden, winning a total of 14 awards:

The Lace Market Youth Theatre has been successful in a bid to make a two-minute short film with BBC East Midlands. The film entitled ‘Nottingham’s Child’ will be shown on BBC television, BBC online and at regional cinemas in Leicester, Derby and the Broadway cinema in Nottingham. We also hope to have a showing at the theatre.
Actual dates will be posted when available so watch out for them.
