Pride comes before a fall in this typical Commedia dell’arte story. Impoverished nobles Don Ranudo and Donna olympia attempt to prevent the marriage of their daughter Teresa to Gonzalo, a lowly landowner, but their plans are destined to fail, thanks to the intervention of two wily servants, Pedro and Serafna.
