A Musical Thriller
Main theatre production starts at 7.30 pm, matinee at 2.30 pm

 ‘attend the tale of Sweeney Todd,
The demon barber of Fleet Street.’

Thus begins Sondheim’s tale of the murderous Sweeney and his villainous
sidekick Mrs Lovett.  Hailed as one of Sondheim’s great masterpieces, and
featuring classics of the genre including ‘not while I’m around’ and ‘Green
Finch and Linnet Bird’; come and enjoy this black comedy about revenge,
love, betrayal … and some suspiciously tasty pies.

From an adaptation by Christopher Bond. originally directed by Harold Prince. originally produced on Broadway by Richard Barr, Charles Woodward, Robert Fryer, Mary Lea Johnson, Martin Richards in association with Dean & Judy Manos.

This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd. on behalf of Music Theatre International of New York.
