The demon barber of Fleet Street.’
Thus begins Sondheim’s tale of the murderous Sweeney and his villainous
sidekick Mrs Lovett. Hailed as one of Sondheim’s great masterpieces, and
featuring classics of the genre including ‘not while I’m around’ and ‘Green
Finch and Linnet Bird’; come and enjoy this black comedy about revenge,
love, betrayal … and some suspiciously tasty pies.
